After a brief hiatus in 2017, Cashmere World returns to Hong Kong from 14 – 16 March strategically placed alongside Asia’s leading fashion accessories fair – Fashion Access – and APLF which is the world’s most influential business platform for leather and fashion.
The luxury market overall in China underwent a startling rebound in 2017 when sales of the luxury sector - which includes cashmere fashion products - increased by 20% compared to 2016. This information from Bain & Co. indicates that consumers are alive, well and extremely active in China and this trend is set to continue into 2018.
Add to this the fact that both US and European retail are buoyant, major stock markets have recently made historical highs, then there is a backdrop of business confidence in the air, then the scene looks set for positive trade fairs in at least Q1 of 2018.
As a fair, Cashmere World covers the whole supply chain of cashmere from raw materials to yarns to fabrics moving on the accessories such as scarves and shawls and on to the iconic cashmere sweaters sought by many consumers worldwide.
This year there is a particularly strong presence of companies from Inner Mongolia exhibiting at Cashmere World as China maintains its export oriented strategy as the world’s biggest producer of cashmere garments offering its creations to the international buyers who will visit Cashmere World.
Key buying offices are regular visitors to Cashmere World as it is the only trade fair dedicated to cashmere and natural fine fibres. These buying offices include such prestigious brands such as Burberry, Hugo Boss, Loro Piana, Armani, Eastmax Fashion amongst others.

The Cashmere Trends Space is a dedicated area featuring the upcoming key cashmere and fine fibre colours for 2018-19.
It illustrates the upcoming trends through knitwear, cashmere and fine fibre samples chosen from the latest collections of participating Cashmere World exhibitors.
The Cashmere World colour trends are developed by Olivier Guillemin - [o,o] in collaboration with the Comite Francais de la Couleur.
